1. Classification of fabrics
DuPont Lycra, nylon and polyester are the most commonly used materials for swimwear at present. Any void, teal flower and other special materials are inseparable from the above three types of elastic characteristics. Many of the new swimsuits will be added to UV resistance, chlorine resistance or water splashing in the special processing.
2. The characteristics of the fabric
① DuPont Lycra: is a kind of artificial elastic fiber, the best elastic fabric, can be extended to the original length of 4~6 times, excellent extension, suitable for blending with various fibers, can strengthen the texture of the sag, wrinkle-proof and other advantages. Dupont Laika, which contains anti-chlorine ingredients, will give swimsuits a longer life than those made of ordinary materials.
② Nylon fabric: texture is not as solid as Lycra fabric, but the flexibility and softness has been comparable with Lycra. At present, it is the most commonly used fabric for swimwear. It is suitable for medium priced products.
③ Polyester fabric: elastic fabric with one-way and two-sided extension. Due to limited elasticity, it is mostly used in swimming trunks or women’s swimming split-body two-section style, but not in tandem style. The fabric can be partially spliced or applied with low price strategy.
3. Lining and auxiliary materials
Swimsuit design to “comfortable”, “close to the body” as one of the principles. When choosing to use auxiliary materials, “elasticity” is an absolutely necessary requirement.
